About us

Our group is a family-owned business with two Bridgestone stores, four Toyota sites, and Lexus site, across North Shore and West Auckland. Our kind, diverse and talented team of around 170 is what sets us apart.

About the role

Our North Shore Bridgestone team is one of the highest performing in the country, and we need an experienced Tyre Technician to join the team, a team that put their employee and customer experience at the heart of everything they do.

As the Assistant Tyre Manager, you are a vital part of the success of the Bridgestone store, working closely with the Tyre Manager you will help lead and manage the operational responsibilities, and the overall customer experience. Creating an excellent customer experience is key to the success of our business, you will help to maintain the strong relationships we have with all our customers, from large commercial fleets to luxury vehicles, and servicing the North Shore Police.

Your day-to-day tasks would be:
  • Generating and sending or printing out all necessary customer paperwork, including invoices, and quotations.
  • Answering all general enquiries via email, over the phone or by walk-in customers.
  • Speak with our customers about the issues they are facing with their current tyres and recommend appropriate repair or replacement work to ensure they are back on the road with minimal stress.
  • Perform tyre rotations, and balancing.
  • Changing, repairing, and fitting Bridgestone, and other brand tyres to our customers and internal vehicles.
  • Performing wheel alignments.

To be considered for this role, you must have these skills, experience and attributes:
  • We are looking for at least two years of Tyre Technician experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, to effectively handle customer enquiries across all mediums of communications.
  • Customer experience orientation: you're dedicated to providing an exceptional customer experience and enjoy working with customers to understand and meet their needs.
  • You're a people person; the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of customers.
  • Hold your personal presentation in high regard.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.
  • Have a full drivers licence and right to work in New Zealand.
  • Be competent with computers (we'll teach you how to use our systems effectively).
