We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Team Leader to join our Preschool team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of four Kaiako in providing high-quality care and education to our Preschool group.

This role is full-time (40 hours per week) starting in May 2024.

About the Role - Korero mo te Turanga
Educare Wigram has a fun and loving teaching team that values spending time with our tamariki and providing them with quality education and care. Our team enjoys creating a space that makes every day enjoyable for the tamariki, their whanau and our kaiako.

We have beautiful outdoor spaces that give our tamariki the opportunity to learn through play while nurturing their own personal interests. Our centre farmyard animals give our centre a unique experience, teaching the tamariki about animal care, sustainability and promoting exploration in our own backyard.

Our beautiful centre has strong connections with our local community and we enjoy participation and involvement from whanau. We pride ourselves on celebrating diversity and making sure our tamariki have a strong sense of belonging to their kainga.

About You - Mou
We are looking for someone who is/has:
- Previous experience in a leadership role is preferred
- You want to work in a fun and supportive workplace that nurtures your strengths
- You will have a drive to provide quality care and education to our tamariki.
- Be a strong advocate for our tamariki
- You will be able to uphold and support our commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi, Te Whariki, and the Educare vision of Learn, Laugh, Play.
- You will hold a Teaching ECE qualification and practising certificate that allows you to work as a Registered Teacher in a NZ ECE Centre.

You will be a strong advocate for our tamariki, who will be able uphold and support our commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi, Te Whariki, and the Educare vision of Learn, Laugh, Play. Educare Wigram has strong Whanau values and beliefs that promote tuakana teina and whanaungatanga.
