The Opportunity:
As a T.S.S Steamship Engineer, you will ensure that the TSS Earnslaw is always operating efficiently, making sure that all maintenance duties are carried out as required. You will provide a high level of customer service, ensuring customer and staff safety is always maintained.

Responsibilities:
- Safe and efficient operation of the plant and machinery on board the TSS Earnslaw
- Contribute to the ongoing sustainability and optimisation of the TSS Earnslaw
- The development and maintenance of Engineering Standing Orders, instructions, and procedures as they relate to the operation of the TSS Earnslaw and management of the Engineering Department
- Assistance in the preparation and training of new stokers and engineers, ensuring company training programmes and systems have been implemented and staff improvements are monitored
- Ensure staff carry out their duties efficiently and safely, assisting where required
- Implementation of the vessel Safety Manual and Company Maritime Transport Operator Plan (MTOP)
Skills, experience, & qualifications:
- Relevant Marine engineering qualification ( Mec 3 or Mec 5 )
- Steam endorsement highly regarded but not essential
- Marine engineering experience
- Heavy machinery / equipment experience
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Prepared to work rostered shift over seven days with extra hours and duties when required
- Leadership & customer service skills
- Class 2 and HT Licence (preferred but not essential)
