IDEA Services supports people with intellectual disabilities to enjoy great lives as part of their communities. As a Schedule Coordinator you will be scheduling Support Workers to meet on-going roster needs to effectively deliver our support services. This is a vital role to ensure the people we support receive excellent services with minimal disruptions. You will be preparing advanced rosters as well as filling short-notice sick leave when needed.

Your ability to communicate well and build positive relationships will be essential, as you will be in frequent contact with our team of Support Workers to arrange shift cover. Changes and challenges can arise unexpectantly, so your ability to problem solve and come up with solutions quickly will be highly valued.

You will also work closely with a team of Service Managers to understand their service needs and how these can best be met. While the scheduling aspect of this role is the primary focus you will also have general administration tasks supporting the area office.

  • Previous administration experience (scheduling or rostering experience highly desirable)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to plan your workload efficiently and work autonomously
  • The ability to build rapport and positive professional relationships
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Confidence with computer systems including Microsoft Office suite, and the aptitude to learn new systems quickly
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
