We are looking for Support Workers in Hutt Valley, Wellington and Kapiti areas to support our tangata to remain active, safe and independent in their own homes and communities.
What does a Support Worker do?
Our support workers are caring people with a commitment to providing the best possible support to our clients. Each client will have individual care requirements and you will support them with all elements of daily living such as personal care, food preparation, mobility or bowel/urinary continence care and ensure medication needs are met. You may also help our clients to participate in the community, undertake shopping for them or help them to take part in their hobbies.
The ideal candidate will:
• We are currently looking for a kind, compassionate and patient individual who is passionate about caring for
vulnerable individuals.
• Experience in caregiving is ideal, but not compulsory as training will be provided.
• Ability to think quickly on your feet.
• Someone who works well individually and in a team.
• Availability to travel across the Wellington region - in Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt, all areas of Wellington, and Kapiti Coast
Requirements
• Full or Restricted NZ driver’s licence + Reliable transport
• Must be able to work alternate weekends
