This Support Worker/Caregiver opportunity is a casual role based in the Manawatu area. Being employed on a 'casual' basis means that you will be offered the chance to work shifts as these options arise but you won't be guaranteed any minimum hours of work. You have the choice to accept or reject any of the casual shifts that are offered to you.

The role of a Support Worker involves providing assistance to individuals in developing their independence and acquiring skills for daily living. This includes tasks like helping them with public transportation, employment, finances, and meal preparation. Depending on the specific work environment, Support Workers may also assist with individual needs such as shopping, cleaning, showering, and medication administration.

As a casual employee you do need to have some prior experience of working in the area of health and disability. Ongoing upskilling and further training will also be provided. We are interested in hearing from you if you:
work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts.

- have the level of physical fitness needed to provide necessary physical support
- have a full NZ driver's license.
