Are you a Healthcare Assistant with experience and passion? If this sounds like you, then you have come to the right place!

Banbury Park Care Centre are looking for an experienced healthcare assistant to join our growing team! This is a night shift role, working a minimum of 30 hours per week.

About you - Nga Korero Mou
• Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant is desirable.
• Advantageous if you have a minimum qualification equivalent to NZ level 3 or above in the health care industry.
• Can share in our core values - O Tatou Uara of vision, optimism, respect, equality, and honesty, working effectively with people from a range of cultures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Work well under pressure and can multi-task over a wide range of duties.
• An ability to inspire and motivate.
• You want to be a valued team member and can offer a high standard of service and support for our residents.

APPLICANTS FOR THIS ROLE MUST BE A NZ RESIDENT/CITIZEN OR CURRENTLY HOLD A VALID NZ WORK VISA. We are not able to offer AEWV Visas for this role.

About the role – Mo te turanga
• Providing the best practice individualised healthcare to Rest home and Hospital level residents.
• Familiarisation with care plans and provide care in accordance with individual resident notes.
• Ensuring own knowledge and work represents education received in conjunction with policies and procedures.
• Ensure changes in residents’ conditions are accurately identified, documented, and reported to senior staff.
• Participate in annual review of care competencies to ensure best practice is maintained.
• Documenting progress of each resident’s progress in comprehensive and timely manner including utilising internal Qestral developed clinical software.
• Participate in Infection Prevention and Control strategies including ensuring the use of personal protective equipment.
• Participation in Health and Safety drills, training, and safety techniques.
