Support Worker - Whangarei (Awake nights)

• Part time, around 50-60 hours per fortnight
• Awake night shifts, 10pm - 7am
• Availability to work at least every second weekend is required
• $23.15 - $28.25 per hour depending on relevant qualifications

As a Support Worker you will be supporting people with intellectual disabilities to enjoy great lives at home and as part of their community. You will be working as part of a team supporting clients with complex support needs. You will be providing the people we support with care throughout the night and supporting with their individual needs.

No prior experience in the health and disability sector is not necessary, but a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker with a positive attitude is highly valued. Full training and orientation will be provided to individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

• A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviours.
• Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
• A Full NZ driver's license or ability to gain this within 6 months
