**The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi**
Discover Christchurch's thriving cultural scene with numerous art galleries, museums, and theaters, or enjoy hiking, and exploring the beautiful natural landscapes around the region.

You'll be a registered nurse with frontline management experience. You'll manage our Hillier Place service which provides 24/7 crisis respite care to up to five adults at any one time who are experiencing mental health distress which prevents them from being able to remain in their home environment. This setting provides short term crisis respite support, working alongside clinical teams and GPs. The Team Coach for this service ideally needs to have excellent risk assessment skills, knowledge of mental health diagnoses and corresponding treatment options, strong relationship skills with our stakeholders, and the ability to provide leadership and management of our dedicated kaimahi.

As the team coach you will also support and coach a team of support workers as they do their mahi working alongside guests, and use your clinical expertise to guide best practice. You'll inspire every member of your team to exceed their personal best and to be an active team contributor.

You'll also:

  • Be part of a leadership team, attend regular meetings and Team Coach professional development session
  • Contribute to a National rostered after-hours service on a rotating basis.

**This is a permanent full-time role, working Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm, in Christchurch.**

**You | Mou**
The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with a current registration who has experience working in the mental health industry, ideally with management and leadership knowledge.

You will have;

  • Experience in working with and an understanding of trauma-informed care.
  • Registered Nurse
  • A current full New Zealand driver's licence.
  • A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
  • Ideally, you'll have knowledge of the Canterbury Health and Social Services sectors
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
