Housekeeping Team Leader

Quest on Kilmore is a 4 star, 42 room property to be located directly across the Christchurch town hall. The property is due to open in mid-July 2024 and will be Quest 4th location in Christchurch.
Your opportunity:
Reporting to the Franchise Director, the position involves managing a small housekeeping team as well as hands on work in the delivery of housekeeping and room attendant services for the apartments and cleaning of common areas to ensure the presentation of our property in accordance with the high standards of the Quest Brand. As a team leader you will ensure rooms are ready for check in. The position also involves working closely with the Franchise Director on recruitment, appraisals and others elements of staff management for the housekeeping team.
The Ideal Candidate:
The successful applicant will demonstrate a can-do, responsible, and flexible approach to work, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for customer service, a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, strong team building skills, and a strong appreciation of workplace safety.
Previous experience in housekeeping in a business environment is essential, and experience with supervision or leading a housekeeping team would be an advantage. Qualifications in the hospitality, travel or tourism industries would be highly regarded.
The successful applicant must be available to work shift, weekends and public holidays.
