Noki Café in Christchurch is a busy café that is open from Tuesday to Sunday. We are seeking a full time Café Manager to oversee our team.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
? Ensuring that you 'take ownership' of the café and that you 'get involved’ in the community and its people.
? Ensuring the store is secure at all times and the staff is working in a safe and secure environment.
? Ensures proper team member coverage, scheduling according to the needs of the business while maintaining target labour costs.
? Arranging the purchasing of goods and maintaining records of stock levels.
? Oversees all cash management functions. Able to perform all POS duties, front and back of house functions including opening and closing procedures.
? Maintains proper loss prevention standards, reviewing cash handling procedures, deposits and safe procedures.
? Identifies staffing, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training needs of qualified candidates.
? Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service.
? Be responsible for the smooth running of the café during events this will include catering and hosting.
To be successful in this role you will need:
? At least three years of relevant work experience in the hospitality area including in a café .
? Strong time management and organizational skills, be able to communicate effectively
? Flexibility to work on the weekend and public holidays.
? Must be able to work from 6 am as we open from 7am.
? Hours of work are based on a 6-day roster.
? You must have the work right in New Zealand
