The role:

As a Senior Recruitment Consultant (or as we like to describe internally a Senior Account Manager) with Retailworld Auckland you are tasked to achieve, ideally exceed sales targets through effective delivery of recruitment assignments by managing clients and candidates within the fashion sector of the Auckland retail landscape. This fashion sector will include apparel, sports & outdoors, childrenswear, footwear & department stores across Northland, Auckland, Waikato & BOP regions.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Manage end to end recruitment process for clients in your 'fashion' sector in a timely manner
  • Work proactively with candidates to identify opportunities for them
  • Successfully manage your client base through account management and development of new accounts
  • Managing and develop candidate sourcing strategies through job advertisements, database searching and other alternate methods
  • Attend client and Retailworld events
  • Be an ambassador for the best Retail Recruitment Agency in Auckland

This sector is our largest and highest performing sector for the region and our Auckland based office and therefore the preferred candidate will have a specific set of skills to ensure the ability to hit the ground running. These include:

  • Have proven agency recruitment experience in excess of 3x years
  • Experience recruiting in retail preferably apparel, sports & outdoors, childrenswear, footwear & department stores (could also extend to luxury, jewellery or furniture / homewares)
  • Previous experience working in either retail or hospitality (customer facing roles)
  • Experience working in a results / sales target environment
  • Possess unwavering integrity & resilience
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Expertise & proven work experience working across Job Adder, Seek PTS, Trade Me Jobs, Linkedin
  • Bachelor's degree is advantageous and preferred
  • Being innovative and open to change (your priorities will change daily)
  • Being customer centric (with clients and candidates)
  • Have an understanding of our local market (Northland, Auckland, Waikato and BOP)
