THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE:
To manufacture components for the assembly of cabinets and benchtops, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of delivery. A great smile and team attitude goes a long way in this role.

SKILLS
  • Experience in cabinetmaking and/or benchtop manufacturing desirable
  • Experience operating CNC plant and other manufacturing equipment essential
  • A keen focus on quality and cleanliness of work
  • Energy and enthusiasm

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To be part of a team that ensures the optimal running of all processes within the factory
  • To assist with the planning, manufacture and despatch of kitchen, wardrobe and other cabinetry components
  • To assist in the unloading and restocking of feed stock
  • Ensuring workspaces are keep clean and tidy.
  • Complying with health and safety regulations.
  • Working as part of a team and treating team mates with respect at all times.
  • Fulfilling objectives set out by their line manager

SPECIFICS OF THE ROLE
This is a 6.00am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday based at 14 Ra Ora Drive, East Tamaki.

WHAT DOES A GOOD DAY LOOK LIKE?
At the start of the day:
  • You’re clear on what needs to be done at your station
  • Components are ready for machining
  • Pre start checks are completed, and plant is running efficiently

During the day:
  • You work collaboratively with those around you to ensure that customers orders are completed in full and in top quality
  • You recognise poor quality and intervene to ensure that doesn’t end up with the customer
  • You check as you go, ensuring components are manufactured to specification
  • You ask questions if you’re not sure

At the end of the day:
  • The plant is tidy and ready for the next day
  • You go home feeling like you’ve achieved something
