Our client is a small Animal Stock Feed Factory, producing bulk stock feed and animal supplements. They are looking for a physically fit, strong, and reliable labourer to join their tight knit team based in Ashburton.
You do not need any experience in a factory environment to apply, you just need to be a keen learner with a mature attitude. Holding a current F Licence endorsement & OSH certification could place your application at an advantage but is not essential. Full training will be provided.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Bagging animal feed and supplements into 25kg bags,
- Batching ingredients,
- Loading and unloading trucks,
- Wrappings stacks of bagged feed,
- Forklift driving,
- Machine operation.
This role is Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm, but flexibility is required. Additional hours may be available in peak seasons and the odd Saturday morning, overtime is paid when working over and above usual hours.
Working with supplements and powders means that the environment is dusty, health and safety precautions including PPE gear are mandatory and provided to ensure this does not affect anyone’s health. This role is not suited to anyone with respiratory complications as a precaution.
