Transport Coordinator

**THE ROLE:**

• Ensure that goods are delivered undamaged and on time
• Monitor deliveries
• Arrange efficient delivery routes
• Be the first point of call for drivers
• Assist with laoding and unloading goods from trucks
• Communicate with senior employees, such as transport managers, to locate ways to make the transportation process more efficient, for example - limiting damaged goods
• Conduct quality control checks
• Maintain and report KPI's regarding fuel tax reporting, mileages, stock levels and on time delivery
• Be the point of contact for complaints or feedback from drivers and clients, re-directing them to suitable parties if necessary
• Review driver timesheets

• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail to maximise efficiency and minimize errors
• Problem solver - Being able to process information quickly, identifying potential solutions or contingencies
• Leadership - Have the ability to motivate, guide and implement decisions with authority
• Understanding of scheduling and logistics - Creating routes, coordinating with drivers and planning schedules
