Our Opportunity

The role of the Production Team Leader is an integral member of the Production and Site leadership team with management responsibilities for a high performing team and team culture. The Production Team Leader ensures production is delivered in a cost effective manner.

Shift pattern available is: Tuesday: 12am - 7.15am, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 7.00pm - 7.15am

Total 42 hours per week over 3.5 days

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the Shift Production team to ensure that resources are correctly allocated to deliver on Key Performance. Key measures include DIFOT, Waste %, OEE, giveaway, line utilization, productivity, and complaints per million.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports so that they are able to make decisions in a timely manner as they relate to production, and warehousing.
  • Deliver high quality finished product by ensuring compliance to all Food Safety Systems, and ensure that action is taken to escalate and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the hygiene of the plant by ensuring cleaning occurs at correct times and to the correct standard.
  • Ensure all measurement systems are implemented and maintained as required to meet the changing needs of the business. These include the OFS and SAP systems - the tools used to drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure all reporting requirements are supplied in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manage the shift production team via a wide variety of communication techniques, for example tool box meetings (shift Handover, Daily Direction Setting, TALK meetings), focused improvement groups.
  • Elevate issues relating to SHE, Quality, and delivery in a timely manner, utilizing agreed processes.
  • Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives as outlined in the site roadmap.
  • Develop, introduce and maintain visual workplace KPIs for production line teams.

About You

To be successful in your application, you will have:


  • 5+ years manufacturing experience in the food industry
  • 3-5 years established leadership of a mid-sized team
  • Machine operation and/or engineering management practice
  • Supply chain management understanding
  • Exposure to Quality Assurance and Food Safety Systems
  • A great attitude towards health and safety
  • Ability to drive performance
  • Effective communication skills
  • SAP and SHE systems experience (desirable)
  • Food manufacturing experience (desirable)
