Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of board meetings, including scheduling, preparation of agendas and documentation, attendance, and minute-taking.
- Maintain up-to-date board documentation, correspondence, and policies, facilitating periodic reviews and approvals.
- Attend essential meetings, draft accurate minutes, and diligently follow up on action items
- Manage personnel administration tasks, including recruitment processes, staff induction, and maintenance of personnel files.
- Serve as the Returning Officer for board elections, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely communication of outcomes.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
The successful applicant will have:
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with proficiency in English.
- Proficient in computer applications and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Previous experience in administrative or secretarial roles, preferably in the education sector.
- NZ residency and a clean driver’s license are essential.
- Ability to return a satisfactory Ministry of Justice criminal background check.
