About the role |Nga korero mo te turanga
Our busy Dunedin Laboratory provides service to both the Hospital and Community, and is looking for a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist to work in the Biochemistry department. The department is well-equipped with modern analysers and automated systems. Your role will see you performing both routine and specialised tests with a high degree of skill and confidence.
This is a permanent full time role (40 hours per week) and whilst core hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, the essential service we provide 24/7 demands flexibility with the roster including weekends and evening/night shifts.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Full registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
- A current Annual or Interim Practicing Certificate.
- Experience within the discipline of Biochemistry would be an advantage.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team are key attributes.
