We have opportunities for motivated, Gardener/Greenspace Labourers to join the Parks and Reserves team based in the Selwyn district on a temporary full-time basis.

As a Gardener/Greenspace Labourer you will be responsible for the maintenance of gardens, parks and reserves on a reactive or scheduled basis in accordance with contract specifications. This includes garden maintenance, (planting and maintenance) basic weeding, line trimming, and mulching, pruning, using hedge trimmers and blowers.

**We are looking for people with the following skills and experience:**

• Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• A National Certification in Amenity Horticulture or working towards preferred but not essential
• Some general gardening experience is preferred, but full training will be given.
• A passion for the outdoors and the environment
• Self-motivated and physically fit
• Health and Safety focused with a positive attitude.
• Full, clean class 1 licence
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
