We are currently seeking a multi skilled experienced Service Engineer / Senior Technician for a large Auckland based equipment sales business. You will need to have strong engineering skills servicing and repairing various items, fault finding, troubleshooting and providing technical support to staff and customers. The client is looking for talented people committed to delivering a great customer service experience, offering honest advice, building rapport with customers and exceeding expectations. Experience in spare parts management is important to the role.

This is a Senior Technician position with the chance to mentor one other Service Technician within the department and work on a full range of the company?s machinery products.

Details of the role:
- Assist customers and the sales team with machinery, service and parts enquiries.
- Spare parts management, including stock take, advising purchasing what to order, sourcing and pricing parts for the customer.
- Provide onsite manufacturing preventative maintenance, diagnostic, troubleshooting and hands on support to maintain equipment and achieve availability and capacity guarantees.?
- Day to day sales assistance and site and building maintenance as required.
- Manage one report ? Sales Service Technician.
- Support client training during commissioning
- Adhere to all health and safety rules and policies.
- Provide internal and external customer service through an improvement focused service delivery process.


You will need:
- ?A strong engineering background ? Mechanical or Electrical (both preferred). An EST license is advantageous.
- Some years? experience diagnosing and repairing faults on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment.
- To enjoy working with and mentoring one other technician within the department and working on your own in a busy environment. You will have some team mentoring experience.
- Assist with the design, implementation and improvement of procedures within the department.
- To develop long term relationships with customers.
