Porter Haulage Ltd is a division of the Porter Group of companies.
We have a position coming available around the end of May to mid-June for an experienced heavy haulage driver to operate a unit with a new 3 rows of 4 widening trailer. This unit will be primarily working around the lower North Island transporting a vast range of the Porter Group’s equipment from scissor lifts to articulated dump trucks.
We guarantee 40 hours a week typically 50-65 available, work is Monday – Friday seldomly required to work a Saturday.
This position will require nights away at times and to be familiar with overweight permits and their requirements.

This position requires the successful applicant to have the following -
• Experienced in transporting oversized machinery
• Experience in operating a widening trailer
• Full class 5 driver’s license
• BESS accreditation
• Ability to deal with dispatch and customers in a professional manner
• Eagerness to maintain a tidy unit and look after the gear this includes polishing
• Adhere to work time logbook rules
• Good level of physical fitness
• Work independently
• (W T R F) licence endorsements
• Elevated Work Platform ticket would be advantageous
