Rans S6

Rans S6 fitted with 85hp 4 stroke Verner 113MK engine. Total air frame hours 525 but rising with regular weekly use. One owner/ builder for the first 14 yrs
Engine is the later version with 3 bearing crank having done only 250hrs since the upgrade. Ground adjustable 3 blade Warp drive prop. Instrumentation is ASI, VSI, Alt, plus engine. Top speed is 100 mph and can climb at over 900ft/min solo and 700ft with 2 up. Fuel use through this slow revving engine is about 10l/hr. I recently Logged 4.3 hrs on 42l over 3 trips. Fitted with Garmin colour 296GPS. The plane has the folding wings and tail plane kit fitted. Built in 2000, new skins fitted in Oct 2014. Icom radio with new intercom and new headsets included. There is also a spare engine and prop available by separate negotiation. This is a very nice plane in near new condition for sale at a realistic price at around 40% of the cost of building it today. It is only available as I have another plane and don't need 2. These machines are suitable for new pilots and those with a few hours on as they are so versatile. Fresh annual just done on 2/12/16 . Hours are going up as it's in constant use. Current hanger is available at Timaru for rent. Can be inspected and test flown at Timaru airport. by arrangement.
