Royal Enfield Classic 350 2018
$1,510
Description
Sadly, my one owner 2018 Royal Enfield Classic 350 is for sale in AS IS WHERE IS damaged condition (despite being currently registered and warranted!) It has only covered 1912 ks from new, so barely run in. Unfortunately, it has suffered a fairly severe side-on hit (I wasn’t on it at the time, fortunately!) and was it forced against an immovable object. The resultant impact has bent / twisted the frame, and dented those nifty triangle-shaped things on each side, and there is some cosmetic panel and paint damage. Initially, the rear wheel was initially immovable, but I’ve since got it mobile. Would you believe it still starts up, and runs, and all the electrics are working fine, but the frame is clearly bent, and out of alignment. Amazingly, the indicators were not damaged at all, and there is just a tiny tear on the seat. At 500ks, I had the original muffler replaced with the noisier one, so the original one is now back on. It also had crash bars fitted – now I know what those were for! (They saved the bike from much worse damage) The bike comes with a can of touch up paint, the original tool kit, the rider’s manual, the noisy muffler, and the crash bars. The original 6-year-old battery will need replacing, but it still holds enough charge for the electrics, but not the starter. NO test rides (Obviously!) and no stupid questions. This is a good project for someone with the skills to dismantle it and straighten the frame. Needless to say it will have to be trailered away. For out of towners, I recommend BikeTranz!
Questions & Answers
Could you advise if wheels are damaged,ie running true, Thanks r***a (133 • 08:17 pm, Mon, 15 Apr )The front wheel appears fine, and the disc brake works as it should. Initially, one of the mudguard stays was rubbing on the tyre. The rear wheel was initially stuck against the left hand side of the sub frame. Once I loosened the rear axle, I was able to free the wheel somewhat. Looking at the spokes on the right hand side of the rear hub, it would seem that some have been 'moved' slightly. I would expect that the rear wheel will need some 'work' (loosen the spokes and re-align', maybe?) singandswing (1544 • Monday, 15 April 2024 )buy now 027three five two seventeen fifteen cheers paul t**********_ (733 • 05:57 am, Tue, 16 Apr )Thanks Paul, but I prefer to let the auction run. singandswing (1544 • Tuesday, 16 April 2024 )were on the frame is the bent damage t**********_ (733 • 06:00 am, Tue, 16 Apr )Pass? If you look at the photos, the front part behind the front forks is leaning to the right, rather than straight up and down? Looking at the pics again, from the rear, the left hand side is 'bent' inwards, and maybe even the part where the sub frame is? My thoughts are that the bike needs to be stripped back to the frame, and re-aligned, which would include checking the wheels for 'trueness'? singandswing (1544 • Tuesday, 16 April 2024 )When I mention 'left' and right' I mean standing at the rear of the bike and looking towards the front. Seller comment Tuesday, 16 April 2024 Hi, Is this bike electric start as well as kick? Thanks. h*****y (61 • 04:51 pm, Tue, 16 Apr )Yes it is! When the battery is fully charged, it starts fine on the electric start. I guess that the kick starter is for when you are parked somewhere and people think it is an 'old' Enfield, so you kick start it, and the spectators think it is an old bike, not a new one! According to the dealer I bought it from in 2018, the battery is supposed to last only a couple of years, but, I've had it on one of those CTek chargers all that time, and the only problem was it ran out of fluid! singandswing (1544 • Tuesday, 16 April 2024 )Is this m/c fuel injected ? c***x (75 • 11:02 am, Tue, 23 Apr )No, this is the 'carburettor fed' model (as described in the sales blurb!). That was one of the attractions when I bought it. singandswing (1544 • Tuesday, 23 April 2024 )Has it been written off by an insurance company? n********n (339 • 06:42 pm, Sat, 27 Apr )No it hasn't been written off, as it wasn't insured (my bad!) Which is why I'm selling it AS IS WHERE IS, albeit still currently registered and warranted, so once it is repaired, it can be ridden legally on the road once again. I can do most things, but knowing how to straighten up a motorcycle frame is beyond me - unfortunately. singandswing (1544 • Saturday, 27 April 2024 )Was it backed into? n********n (339 • 09:51 pm, Sat, 27 Apr )No, it was driven into, whilst parked up, and on its main stand. singandswing (1544 • Saturday, 27 April 2024 )Sad day for the Enfield looks like a sweet bike somebody probably get a bargain stretching it back in shape without to much sweat and tears. Could be interested.Any idea what shipping costs are to Auckland or whangarei?cheers r******8 (94 • 03:46 pm, Sun, 28 Apr )Depends on the carrier. Give BikeTranz a call. Rangiora to Auckland? (Will be cheaper than to Whangarei) Otherwise, someone like Mainfreight? perhaps? Don't know as I've only ever used BikeTranz. Remember BikeTranz were entrusted with the some of the Britten Motorcycles for that special Sound of Thunder meeting at Ruapuna a few year back, so clearly Britten Owners trust them! That's reference enough for me. singandswing (1544 • Sunday, 28 April 2024 )
