Kawasaki KLX450R 2008

Great condition KLX 450R 2008 model 1455 kms 72 hours Straight bike, original plastics with minimal scrapes and scratches. Brand new battery this week, comes with a brand new spare air filter Spare engine sprocket also new. Devol radiator guards Chain and sprockets good, front tyre good. Only negative is rear tyre needs replacing. Oil changed every 2 -3 hours, filter every second change and air filter cleaned after every ride. The KLX is well known for its long life if the simple stuff is done properly. Starts easily, sounds good, revs cleanly and not blowing any smoke.

Two previous owners, I bought this bike as follow on bike for my son when he was ready to move up. He never rode it as he moved on to different things. This has left me with a bike that I should have had 30 years ago when I could have used it to its full potential. How ever at my age I recognize that it’s too much for me and could get me in trouble!! So she has to go.

I spent a long time looking for the KLX and reckon for the year it’s one of the best on Trademe, its possibly the cheapest, especially for the condition it’s in.

I am looking to replace it with a road registered smaller trail bike. I would look at trading it plus cash for a new or late model wr250r, crf 250l, drz400e or late model ttr250. Must be road registered.

I have set the start price at a fair level, no reserve, currently being offered 3 -3.5k trade in on a brand new bike. I would prefer to sell it here so I can negotiate a better deal. Dealer retail will be well over 4k so this is a rare opportunity to grab a great bike at a great price.
