Austin overview

The Austin Motor Company was founded by Herbert Austin in 1905 and was responsible for the production of British motor vehicles until the marque Austin was discontinued in 1987. Over this time Austin Motors created a myriad of models of different styles and merged occasionally with other well known manufacturers, such as Morris Motors Ltd.

On TradeMe you will find a relatively small selection of used Austin models but, though lacking in quantity, it is rich in quality. The Austin range has always been much sought after for its reliability, performance and not forgetting its classic and smart appearance. If you find yourself in one of these pre-loved Austins, you will be sure to turn more than a few heads.

Perhaps the most famous of Austin models and, at the time the most popular in the British market, was the Austin 7, an economy car made to meet the needs of young families.

The Austin FX3 and FX4 are most famous for being widely used as the London taxi cab for many years. Other models include race cars such as the slick and swift Austin-Healy and the Austin Mini.

The range of Austin models in existence was vast. TradeMe offers a selection of second-hand models for a variety of prices based on model, year and mileage.
