1989 Holden Commodore VN Series 1

WOF is current. Rego just ran out Currently not running and will need tow or trailer to take away. No rust inside or out and very tidy. Recently had the driveshaft looked over and a regrease. I was told it is like new. It has become abit of a project and I am no longer in the position do it. Nothing major and it is mechanically sound. It needs bits and pieces. Some examples are: A new indicator wand..my hand slipped on the steering wheel and snapped it. The alternator is no longer charging the battery for an unknown reason however the alternator has been tested and is working fine. Because the fuel pump is electronic the car dies as soon as the battery goes dead so this will need fixing and she will run and sound like a beast again. The headlights are only working on parklights but this is due to the indicator wand as it works as a control module for the lights and indicators. These are around $80 and once again easy fixed...slide a new one in and she will come back to good. Alot of the interior trim is off as I was looking at tidying up the loom but I will get alot of this back on before it's sold. The central locking all needs to be redone. All in all just little things and not a major project. I paid 6500 for it and have spent around 3500 in it which I didn't mind as I know they are a rising investment now. I will lose money but that's just cars in general when you want it gone. The manual trans could sell at 4.5k alone all day if it was parted. There is potential for a good series 1 VN for someone who wants to put into a little time and money and when they look back will realise they made a wise purchase. I just can't be doing a project right now and need a reliable runner. I am keen to swap for other Holden's so feel free to enquire with me.
