1979 Mazda Bongo campervan - quite literally the coolest thing on the road.
I have owned this van for 4 years and it has taken me on the best adventures and roads around nz.
I redid the interior of the van to comply with the NZSC certification and it’s valid untill 2026. The inside has a sink, a fridge, many storage options, a portable toilet and a bed. From the back door you can access more storage and a pull out kitchen set up. The van will come with a table and chairs, a full detachable awning, cookery, gas cooker and bottle, a bike rack and a life time of memories!
The Mazda bongo has a 1600cc engine that runs on petrol, 4 speed column change, dual wheels at the rear and 2 batteries (house and start) to fuel your adventures! He is an absolute dream to drive and I have had absolutely no mechanical issues.
The van will require some love to get him back on the road. Mainly cosmetic rust but the side door will also need a new door seal.
Selling this van was not something I wanted to do however I don’t have the time to put into him anymore.
