1983 Toyota Corona DX

One Family owner, my dad bought it new. Been in my care 20+ years since his passing. Overall its still exceptionally tidy. I parked it up in 2011 when arthritis got the better of me thinking my son might like it but he has decided on a late model vehicle and now wants the garage space. I took possession at about 185k and currently has 198974. Motor is still in good shape as he drove like a nana. Original 2T 1600cc and 5 speed. I put a clutch kit in just after taking custody. Fitted factory Toyota twin carbs and extractors. Carbs recond just prior to fitting. Replaced all the bushes and ball joints in front suspension. Fitted gas shocks all round with a set of slightly lower Cobra springs. Fitted a Kenwood head unit with a 10 disc stacker in the boot. Fitted an electric fuel pump just prior to parking it up. Celica rims on it are the spare set as i took the refurbished set off when i parked it and are in boxes. Were professionally polished, hand etched and painted, including caps. Tyres fitted aren't warrantable. Momo wheel and gear knob. Louvre and a really hard to find left mirror. Rust wise, there is very little. A spot on the left door under the protection belt and under the bonnet could do with a clean up.

As with all cars left sitting, there were issues when i recently fired it back to life, no brakes. Have turned drums and fitted new master cylinder, pads shoes and wheel cylinders. Pedal still a little spongy so will need further bleeding. Likely has a stuck carby float as was over Fuelling when i returned from the test run.

15-20 years back i dismantled 2 XX Corona's so there is stacks of parts including 3T 1800cc motor, 5 speed, diff, 2 sets of panels and many boxes of parts. All included in this auction if wanted.
