Abbott and Costello : Africa Screams

The zany comics are at peak form in this nonsensical foray into the jungle. They are transported from the city to the interior of Africa because of Costello's believed ability to draw a map showing them the location of a vast cache of diamonds.

Bud Abbott augments his usual straight man's job with some blithe make believe as a crazed diamond hunter. Lou Costello milks the laughs for all they're worth. Hilary Brooke is the conspiring leading lady. Max and Buddy Baer are amusingly teamed as a pair of tough goons. Shemp Howard makes the most of an elegant part as a nearsighted sharpshooter.
