Information on how to get started:

Condenser microphone recording: If you do not have any experience with condenser microphones, condensers are the best microphones for recording your voice to create studio-quality tracks. If you do not have professional studio software available to you, I would suggest Audacity. Audacity is a free sound recording and mixing program. Garage band is another suggestion if you are also mixing other instruments.

We recommend recording voice at 0.20-0.30. You would then use the audio mixer to bring this volume up. I recommend using the 'equalizer', 'echo' (0.1) and 'condense' features of an audio mixing program. There are some great youtube videos on how to do this.
