Everything from a simple woofer foam surround replacement to voice coil replacement, or complete recone, on everything from the biggest subwoofer to the most delicate tweeter.
In addition to repairs, I can also offer the following services, for those who wish to design and build their own speakers or just want more from their system:
*Thiele-Small parameter measurement- Great for when there is no available datasheet or the model of the driver is unknown. Also, many published datasheets are not very accurate and the drivers actual specs can be quite different. I can test your individual driver and generate a complete datasheet with full T/S info and impedance graph
*Custom multi-way crossover network and impedance EQ design, or upgrading of factory components. I also can offer hand wound custom value inductors. Factory crossovers are often a weak point in speakers and simple inductor and capacitor upgrades can reveal hidden performance in your speakers.
*Custom cabinet design volume and tuning calculation, to aid in the design of your own speaker system.
*Amplifier testing and restoration and repair. Full amp servicing including electrolytic capacitor replacement for vintage amps, dc offset and bias current adjustments to ensure your amplifier is running at its best. Also power output test to make sure it meets its rated output.

Tweeters arrived to him on 17th March and I didn't get them back until 26th April which is a bit long really. Otherwise happy. Josh clearly knows his stuff and my Mission tweeters sound great again.

h****e (308 Monday, 21 March 2022We found a pair of Whafedale Valdus 500 speakers on TM for my son, for his 17th birthday locally, but found that the foams had all fallen apart, when we ran them up. Looked at buying the parts and doing a DIY, but did not want wait 3 months for parts off Flea bay. Found Josh on Trade Me who installed new foams on the 6 x drivers for a very reasonable fee. Got them back last weekend, reassembled, and they sound fantastic, and a very happy young man as well. Thanks again Josh

We were told by several technicians that they weren't repairable, not worth fixing or that we'd be better off buying new subs instead. Josh did an AMAZING job that exceeded our expectations and the subs look and perform better than ever. The ONLY minor critique for me was communication. It was either slow or lack of til the last minute but that's just me :)
