BROWNING A5 12G SEMI-AUTO SHOTGUN The Browning A5, or "Hump Back", shotgun as it was often called is one of the most iconic firearms ever produced, with more than 2.7 million being made. The brain child of John browning, it was the first massed produced semi-automatic shotgun in the world. Designed by Browning in 1898 and patented in 1900 it was continually made for almost 100 years. This particular shotgun is an early model manufactured by Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (FN) of Belgium. The guns were made in Belgium up until 1973, when production was moved to the Miroku Factory in Japan, that still makes Browning firearms to this day. The Serial number on this gun could indicate it was made in 1925. The gun is in poor condition.
