IVER JOHNSON 'SPECIAL NZ MODEL' 12G S/S SHOTGUN. This is an unusual shot, thought to have been made before the early 1930's. It is unusual in that it has stamped on one side of the breech 'SPECIAL NZ MODEL'. On the other side the gun is stamped 'IVER JOHNSON'S ARMS AND CYCLEWORKS (CANADA-MONTREAL)'. Then 'MADE IN COBOURG'. The company dropped 'CYCLE WORKS' from its name when that part of the business was shutdown, it is thought, prior to the Great Depression. The gun is in poor condition, however there only slight movement in the lockup of the action. Barrel length: 30"
