“I have always loved flowers not only for their appearance but also for the meaning behind them when they are gifted to someone, so I thought why not combine the two things I love netball and floral design and incorporate them into my Gilbert ball design.

The meaning behind my ball is fairly simple; the gold ‘Gilbert’ represents the pinnacle goal or what you want to achieve. The flowers and stems represent all the people/coaches/family/friends/physios that support you on your journey towards achieving your goals. I think often we forget how many people have played a part in our careers, even if it’s just a small role they play, they are all valuable.”
