Description
Figure skating ice skates. vintage. IPSA John Wilson Sheffield England. size stamp 8 on sole of boot. size 11 stamp on the plate. plastic cover on blade. bag with some damage but with badges on it. one in pocket unused. laces attached and photos of condition shown. genuine leather. quite stiff. padding on inside of tongue intact. figure skating book included with dance routines.
these were my grandmother's from her younger years. these have been in storage for 20+ years and need to move onto a new home. My grandfather was a coach for some time. my grandmother joined in with the sport but soon they left figure skating to move onto teaching in high school. been holding onto these for too long and they do not fit me at all as they are too small. I hope they either go to someone new (or long term) in the sport wanting a starting pair, someone who collects memorabilia or someone who just loves ice skating. please refer to photos for condition. I do not know much about the Ice skates themselves as I am a roller skater and never got into ice skating.
please ask questions and I will answer to the best of my ability.

Hi, sorry can't buy the skates, but interested in the story behind them, you wrote a great description, and the skate bag with the badges is a piece of history. It would be cool to learn more about your grandfather coaching skating & so on. If you are keen, please get in touch. There's a Facebook page called NZ Skating History, & the email address for the NZ Skating history project is nzskatinghistory+tm at gmail.com Thanks! Plus you could try selling them on a skating buy & sell page on facebk s*****a (145 • 02:09 am, Sun, 28 Apr )I don't know too much about his ice skating adventures. I do have photographs etc. I will dig them out this week and join the page. 😊 forthekids09 (327 • Sunday, 28 April 2024 )
