Description

In its new state, this is the Ikelite kit for a Nikon D800, including the camera case, 8 inch dome, 2 x lights, light bracket and other bits and pieces you need.

The camera case is specific to the Nikon D800 so you will need that specific camera (or maybe the D850?) to use the camera case.

I am sure the rest of the gear is generic to Ikelite (especially the older gear) and can probably be used with other Ikelite camera cases. Please check before you bid.

The camera case (if you are going to use it) will need a service and new seals after 8+ years out of the water.

The 2 x batteries on the lights are dead and will need to be replaced. The lights, when the batteries were still working, were in perfect working order. The 2 x chargers have European/South African 2 pin plugs

That is why this is a $1 no reserve auction.

The 8 inch dome and light bracket must be worth more than that.

The box to take all this is relatively large and heavy so postage is expensive. If you win the auction, I am happy to throw away bits you don't want so you can save on postage.

Collection in Torbay, Auckland is much preferred.

  • scuse ignorance, are these cable operated flash units not lights? cheers b*******r (217)03:05 pm, Fri, 19 Apr Yes, they are lights, as I described them in the listing phillip1966 (90) • Friday, 19 April 2024
  • Correction on the lights.... they are both a strobe/flashlight and a torch. Specs can be found at https://www.ikelite.com/products/ds161-strobe Seller comment Friday, 19 April 2024
  • What lense did you use the run on this. Looks like some versions of the 35 or 50mm prime lenses from what I can see. Do you know where to buy battery packs. Checked a load of places abd say discontinued. m******1 (307)05:35 pm, Sat, 20 Apr If memory serves, I used a Sigma 17-70mm lens. Included in the auctions are the 2 x port extension pieces. This allowed for a certain amount of zooming. You can replace the batteries at https://www.seatech.co.nz/products/ikelite-nimh-battery-pack-for-ds230-ds162-ds161-ds160-ds125-strobes-40066gy-40066bk but the price is silly at $450! Even more silly is a new strobe at $2,400!!!! phillip1966 (90) • Saturday, 20 April 2024
  • Wow. That’s a bit of dough for a battery. Any chance you still have the camera body. Would have to get 1 for the housing. Cheaper than a new housing though. m******1 (307)06:05 pm, Sat, 20 Apr No, I don't have a D800. They do come up for sale on TradeMe occasionally. I see there is a D810 currently listed which is physically identical to the D800 phillip1966 (90) • Saturday, 20 April 2024
