Description
The Willow Room sign was salvaged from Eden Park before the original South Stand was demolished in 2008.
The Willow Room was famous for becoming the sleeping quarters for the South African team during the 1981 Rebel Tour. Police were worried that protestors would block the teams route to Eden Park, so the All Blacks slept in the Kingsland Room and the Sth African team slept in the Willow Room the night before the game.
This piece of rugby history contains the actual sign from the Willow Room + a limited edition (1 of just 10) photo of the last game to be played at Eden Park before the redevelopment happened + a statement of authenticity from the Eden Park Redevelopment Board.
Never been taken out of the packaging, all in perfect condition.
Own a real piece of NZ Rugby history and a beautiful addition to your office or home.
