For people familiar with the 'range test' mode of Spektrum transmitters (where the Tx signal is attenuated to test the Tx/Rx link and where a range test distance of 20m or more is considered a 'Pass') I have tested these Storm S603 Rx and have found the signal is 'good' for 93m using a DX8 in reduced power range test mode.
To give context to this result I found the signal good to 36m for a R620xV2 6 ch Orange DSMX Rx, and 31m for the superceded Orange 6ch DSM2 'Park' receivers
