In 2011 Trundles Automotive started out in a one bay dirt floor shed and consisted of just a Husband and Wife duo.    Fast forward to 2017 and we are now in the heart of New Plymouth City in an 800m2 building consisting of a 5+ bay workshop, retail store, customer lounge and our newest addition a purpose built in-house Dyno.    We’ve expanded to a team of 10 and have over 100 years combined experience in the modified vehicle industry and we are are your off-road, general parts & motor sport specialists.    We supply OEM, aftermarket and performance parts that are tried and tested on our own vehicles so you can be sure that we wouldn’t sell anything to you that we wouldn’t use ourselves.    We have experienced mechanics on hand so if you have any technical questions about our products your guaranteed to get the answers you need.    We also do a lot of in-house research and development to produce custom parts to solve problems or increase performance.    Sourcing our products from overseas manufacturers, wholesalers & local engineers means we can get your vehicle performing the way you want for less.    We are the nationwide distributors for 3 big suspension brands – Dobinsons, Amada Extreme and Performance Suspension and are in talks with other brands so we can bring the big names to the NZ market without the big price tags.    We’ve come along way in the last 6 years and whatever you need for your vehicle we are confident we can help you out.

  Dick Smith - early days In 1968, as a young electronics technician with a love for anything with wires, Dick Smith took a leap of faith with a $610 investment to found the Dick Smith brand we know and love today.   In the beginning, Dick focused his energy towards installing and servicing car radios.
