Fundraising on Trade Me since 2010, Maudes sells thousands of items donated by the community every year to raise money for the Nurse Maude Hospice in Christchurch.  Those items include antiques and collectables, books,homeware and home décor items; in fact almost everything from the downright weird to the truly wonderful.  The generosity of our donors knows no bounds and without their support, and the support of those who buy from us, we simply would not exist.  The Nurse Maude Hospice provides end of life care and support free of charge to patients and their families.  On their behalf, and on behalf of those who care for them, our heartfelt thanks.   Trash Palace was established by the Porirua City Council in 2002, to accept generous donations from the public and sell or recycle them rather than have them go to a landfill.   Still run today in conjunction with the Council, our retail shop at 20 Broken Hill Road, Porirua is now complemented by our online TradeMe store – all providing the public with great value second-hand goods at great prices while also doing our bit for the environment.   Our retail shop is open Monday-Saturday 8:30am – 5:00pm and Sunday 9:00am – 5:00pm. It is only ever closed on Christmas Day, Good Friday, and until 1pm on ANZAC day.   Our TradeMe store is of course open 24/7
