Owner Driver Plus

This is an owner driver opportunity that comes with a bit extra.

The bit extra is not only driving but also running your own branch and the manufacturing of very basic products (that the company delivers) and doing the deliveries at the completion. The deliveries are all around the Wellington region.

It is a very small team that requires a hands-on operator to do deliveries around the Wellington region as well as manage one or two staff members producing the products that we deliver, so think of this as an owner driver plus opportunity.

Training will be given as the products are not very technical in nature, all that is required as a can-do attitude someone prepared to get stuck in and lead the team.

We are looking for:
Good leadership skills
Good communication skills
A class 1 and 2 drivers license
Skills to drive a tipper truck and possibly a small hiab truck

Suited to someone not afraid of physical work as some of the deliveries require hand unloading and the packages can be somewhat heavy, as such a medium level of physical fitness is required.

You will need the financial capacity to invest in the required truck to do the job, this could be 50-200k (subject to age). It must be noted this is a hands-on job and will not suit assignment to any other team members/truck drivers as we are very much looking for the right person to be hands on here.
