Geological report has identified 3.5 million m3 of wash containing an estimated resource of 18,364oz/Au. An area with high mineral potential has been identified near Caledonian and Baxters Creeks at Atarau. This area has seen a lot of exploration undertaken, initially in the 1930’s when Shellback Creek and the neighbouring Moonlight Creek was mined by dredge, and then during the 1980’s and 90’s when a number of operators held mining or exploration permits over the area.
