Receivership sale - expressions of interest sought to purchase award-winning, longstanding organic milk and cheesemaking business as a going concern, turnkey package.

The business has established and well-known brands across a range of cheese and milk products including: Haloumi, Feta, Ricotta, yoghurt and fresh bottled milk. The brands are differentiated by a strong bias toward organic milk and inputs with a strong focus on sustainability.

Manufacturing is from a single site located in Seaview, Wellington. The business operates from a modern, large purpose built factory with significant opportunity for expansion and to add further product lines.

The business has very good relationships with key dairy suppliers, especially for organic and conventional raw milk. The existing stakeholders have invested significantly to relocate to the existing site with substantial investment in infrastructure, plant, equipment and processing capacity. This places the business on a platform ready for a new owner to expand the processing and explore new untapped markets both in NZ and overseas to boost revenue.

The business could be of interest to new market participants keen to enter the New Zealand specialty and organic dairy and cheese market, or to existing businesses keen to expand or to go forward with products and brands complimentary to their existing operations.
