Written by Paul in General at 8:00am, Thu 17 Feb 2011

The Auckland Racing Club and Resene have put together a cool idea called "The Fastest Art Exhibition" that will end up generating a pile of cash for 18 charities around New Zealand. Here at Trade Me HQ we're proud to be helping out in our own small way. Here's a run down on the idea.

Horse races are traditionally won with speed, but artistic talent will play a big part in deciding which horse will raise the most funds for charity in the Fastest Art race.

Written by Paul in Property at 12:20pm, Mon 7 Feb 2011

Our Trade Me Property team has run some numbers and spreadsheets about the state of play in the national rental market. Here's a short media release setting out their findings and observations.

The national supply shortage for rental property has come to a halt in many parts of New Zealand, according to an analysis of the listings on Trade Me Property in the past three months.

Across the country, the number of rentals listed in the quarter to 31 December was up 1% compared to the same period in 2009. This was a turnaround after declines of 12% and 18% in the previous two quarters. More...
