Trade Me was unavailable between 11:20 am and 11:30 am this morning while we performed some urgent maintenance. All auctions that were due to close between 11:20 am and 11:50 am have been extended by 30 minutes.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and lapse in service.
Pay Now special offer for sellers
From now until August 31st, any payments you receive through Pay Now will cost just 1.95% with no fixed fee. This is down from 3% and a 50 cent fixed fee.

Removal of free 1 day listings
Today we have removed 1 day auctions from the standard listing options. Our research shows a very low sell through rate - less than 5% - for auctions listed for 1 day and some excessive use of short auctions by larger sellers.
Sellers can still schedule the end-time of their auctions for as little as 6 hours, although any scheduled listings incur a 25 cent fee.
Pricing for rental listings and withdrawn auctions
The fee for listing a rental property on Trade Me has increased from $29 to $49. You can continue to relist it as many times as you like for free. No commissions or success fees apply. The price for listing properties for sale is unchanged at $149.
We have also changed the fee for withdrawn listings from $2 to $3 for general auctions listed from today onwards.
