Payment instructions
We have made it easier for sellers to provide payment instructions to buyers.
"Buyer emails" have been renamed "Payment instructions." These now display the total price to pay including shipping. Buyers simply choose one of the shipping options specified in your listing when they bid or Buy Now.
We encourage all sellers to setup payment instructions and choose to send them automatically at the end of an auction. More...
Scheduled work tomorrow morning
Trade Me may be unavailable for periods between 6:00 am to 6:30 am on Thursday the 7th of September for scheduled maintenance.
All affected auctions will be extended. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
UPDATE: The outage lasted longer than expected. The site was offline until 6:45 am. All auctions scheduled to end between 6:00 am and 7:00 am have been extended.
Changes to success fees and motors listing fees
There will be some changes to success fees and motors listing fees, effective from midnight Sunday, 17th September.
Texting error this morning
We've just had a technical glitch that has caused some members who have used our texting service to receive repeats of outbid messages we sent earlier. These have been sent in error and should be ignored.
We've fixed the problem and will refund the cost of these texts to the Trade Me accounts of the people affected. We apologise sincerely for any confusion caused.
Text Alerts and Bidding
You can now receive alerts and place bids from your mobile phone, so you never have to miss out on an auction again.
Once you register your phone you can choose to receive alerts when saving an auction to your watchlist or placing a bid. Learn more.
Texts cost 20 cents and are billed to your mobile.
