4:30 pm: Technical problems this afternoon
We’ve experienced some external network problems this afternoon which has affected Trade Me’s availability. The problem is unfortunately out of our control however we’ll be doing all we can to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
All auctions closing up to 5pm have been extended. We apologise for the inconvenience.
New “email the seller” limit
We have limited the number of emails each member can send through classified listings. Members can use the "email the seller" feature on up to 20 different classifieds within a 24 hour period.
This has been introduced to prevent members abusing the contact facility within classifieds.
Improvements to the bid confirmation pages
We now provide each bidder with the seller’s location, shipping details and payment methods when they place a bid or Buy Now on an auction.
This is so that bidders are made fully aware of the conditions of the auction at the time of placing a bid or Buy Now.
New price for extra photos
You can now add up to two extra photos to your listing for only 25 cents per photo, previously 75 cents for two.
Adding extra photos to your listing gives buyers a better idea of what they are buying and may result in a higher price.
10:45 am: Site Problems
We are currently having problems with our internet connection and the issue is being looked at by our ISP. All auctions finishing between now and 2:00 pm have been extended.
