Books category changes
Today we are making further changes to the Books category. We are breaking down the “Young adult”, “Children & babies” and some of our Non- fiction categories.
If your item was listed in any of the categories that have been changed, you will be prompted to reselect a category from the new breakdown when relisting. All of the other auction details will be carried over as per normal, including your photo.

Email notification delays
There has been a delay with the closing of auctions.
This will only affect email notifications for auctions that closed after 5.30pm.
We will have this backlog cleared as soon as we can.
Brand new items
When selling an item you can now specify that the item is brand new. Only items that are unused with their original packaging should be advertised as brand new.
A "brand new" icon will appear at the top of your listing.
Site Problems
We experienced technical difficulties last night between the hours of 6pm and 9pm.
Pages would have been slow to load and you may have received errors trying to access certain areas of the site.
Our technicians have located and fixed the cause of this problem. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Scheduled Maintenance
The Trade Me sites will be unavailable from 11pm on Thursday the 10th of June until approximately 7am on Friday for scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
All affected auctions will be extended by 24 hours. Saved search emails and category subscriptions will also be delayed.
