I believe these used to be called a phone chair or something similar. Someone with an excellent sense for history and few friends to trouble themselves with will no doubt correct me with a comment/ question offering up its correct name. Was jazzed up about 14 years ago. Perfectly fine as it is. Go nuts. Who am I to say how you should use it.
