Matchbox Models of Yesteryear - Silver Ghost Knock Off

This is a play worn diecast model made in Hong Kong that appears to be a pirated copy of the Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Y-10 Silver Ghost model.

Probably as good an indication of its fakeness as any is the broken front wheel and missing spare wheel - I know I was able to play with this one as a kid and the cheap plastic wheels obviously couldn't take it. That said I can't bring myself to bin it because of that childhood nostalgia associated with it.

So I'm listing it for a $1 amongst all the other genuine Matchbox Models of Yesteryear I'm putting up. I imagine some collector's would actually like to have an identified fake for demonstrative purposes if nothing else. In some ways the fakes and knock offs are also part of the story of a series like Models of Yesteryear aren't they?
